About Marc
Marc started his career with Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), a top 10 global accounting firm, and spent 9 years in their Sydney and London offices. In London he worked in the corporate advisory division, responsible for due diligence and acquisitions.
In 1990 he established True North Group (TNG), one of the first truly multi-disciplinary professional practices, made up of accountants, financial planners and business consultants, with operations in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
In 1999, Australia’s Business Review Weekly magazine listed True North Group as Australia’s #1 fastest growing firm. Crucial to that success was the ability to extend beyond traditional accounting skills into business consulting and financial planning.
Marc is a world authority on consulting to small and medium sized business, with an emphasis on strategic planning and corporate advisory services. He has worked with over 10,000 practising accountants and lawyers, and their clients, across 12 countries. He has spoken for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia on “The Accountant as Business Advisor”, and has facilitated workshops for ACCA, ISCA in Singapore and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Marc toured Australia with Michael Gerber, author of The E-Myth Revisited, speaking to over 3,000 people across 8 venues. He was also a guest speaker at Anthony Robbins’ “Wealth Mastery” events in 1999 and 2001, attended by over 2,000 delegates.
